Technological Design (TEJ1O)
To be offered in the fall of 2019. This exploratory course introduces students to concepts and skills related to technological design, which involves the development of solutions to various design challenges and the fabrication of models or prototypes of those solutions. The course will allow students to transition from the VEX IQ to VEX EDR robotics platform.
Technological Design (TDJ 2O)
In the fall of 2018, students of Patrick Fogarty CSS will have the option of enrolling in Technological Design, TDJ2O. This course provides students with opportunities to apply a design process to meet a variety of technological challenges. Students will research projects, create designs, build models and/or prototypes, and assess products and/or processes using appropriate tools, techniques, and strategies. Student projects will be supported by the VEX EDR robotics platform.
Swept Away is played on an 8' x 8' field which is divided in half by a 12” tall wall. One robot is placed on each side of the field with twelve small foam soccer balls and six foam footballs. The object of the game is simple: get as many balls onto your opponent’s side of the field as possible during a two minute match. The team with all the balls on their side has been “SWEPT AWAY” and loses the match.
